About 2014 Jaguar XF
The 240-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine is standard in the 2014 XF 2.0 model. The 340-hp, 3.0-liter supercharged V6 is fitted with an Intelligent Stop/Start system for improved fuel economy. Each of these engines combines a broad powerband with high efficiency, along with the refined performance expected from a Jaguar. The supercharged V8 engine continues in the 2014 XF, with 470-hp in the XF Supercharged model and a 510-hp version in the XFR.
All Jaguar XF models feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, enhancing both performance and fuel economy.
The V6 can be paired with the all-wheel drive system. An active torque-management system, Jaguar Instinctive All-Wheel Drive uses a performance-oriented rear-drive bias, which can shift power to the front wheels to either pre-empt or counter wheel slip.
The XF driver can select how the engine and transmission respond using the JaguarDrive control, which offers three modes: Normal, for comfortable, leisurely driving; Dynamic, for a more sporting and responsive character, and Winter, for greater capability in low-grip conditions. Each mode changes the characteristics of engine response, transmission shifts, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) intervention and on XF Supercharged and XFR, Adaptive Dynamics tuning and Active Differential Control. In Dynamic mode, gearshift points are raised, and the suspension stiffens.
The infotainment system offerings include a premium audio system by Meridian, the renowned British maker of high-end home audio components and speakers.
